In this creative holiday sewing course in Nuremberg, children aged 10 and over dive into the colorful world of sewing.
In a creative atmosphere, you will learn everything you need to know about operating a sewing machine in this sewing workshop during the last Bavarian holiday week. Learn about the various stitches and uses using a household machine and the materials and tools to be used. In doing so, you will implement what you have learned in small sewing projects. At the end of the holiday week, you will be able to use the sewing machine, be familiar with the tools and fabrics and read cuts/instructions.
You will have sewn at least a cloth bag, a pencil case and a backpack. And have lots of fun sewing!
What you’ll do in the class
Day 1: Sewing machine driver's license and make a shopping bag
Day 2: We sew a pencil or cosmetic case
Day 3-5: we sew a backpack
All projects are independent of size and include many sewing techniques that are also required to sew clothes.
In between, we take small, creative or playful breaks to recover from small and big efforts.
Who is the class suitable for?
For children and adolescents over 10 years of age or transition from 3rd to 4th grade.
