Discover how you can cook African food in Stuttgart, right at home! Learn the secrets of African cuisine with sophisticated combinations of spices. We bring traditional African dishes to your plate and help you experience an unforgettable culinary journey.

What is included in the African cooking class in Stuttgart?

We use your own kitchen utensils for the cooking class. Special devices are therefore not necessary. However, if you want special drinks, you have to get them yourself.

 

Where does the course take place?

I bring African cuisine to your home or any other location with a kitchen.

The kitchen on Heilbronnerstraße is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. If you would like to book the cooking class on another day, I would be happy to suggest a suitable kitchen for you or carry out the course in a kitchen provided by you.

How does this activity work?

How does the African cooking class in Stuttgart work?

The 3-hour cooking class will give you an introduction to the world of traditional African cuisine. Together, you will prepare various dishes in the form of a three-course meal.

Starters called samussas are prepared. These are dumplings that are filled with minced beef and vegetables.

The main course will be:

1. Kixiluanda: African goulash with beef, okra and eggplant.

2. Mengueleke: a vegetarian dish with sweet potato leaves (if they are not available, with spinach), plus okra with palm oil and fresh peanuts.

Couscous and/or jasmine rice and/or fufu are prepared as a side dish.

The dessert consists of a sweetened fried white flour ball with plantain or coconut flavor and baked plantain.

  • First, you'll get an introduction to the world of African cuisine
  • Then you'll learn what you should pay attention to when cooking and learn some useful cooking tricks
  • You will then start cooking yourself
  • At the end, dishes are tasted together
