What you’ll do in the class
How does the African cooking class in Stuttgart work?
The 3-hour cooking class will give you an introduction to the world of traditional African cuisine. Together, you will prepare various dishes in the form of a three-course meal.
Starters called samussas are prepared. These are dumplings that are filled with minced beef and vegetables.
The main course will be:
1. Kixiluanda: African goulash with beef, okra and eggplant.
2. Mengueleke: a vegetarian dish with sweet potato leaves (if they are not available, with spinach), plus okra with palm oil and fresh peanuts.
Couscous and/or jasmine rice and/or fufu are prepared as a side dish.
The dessert consists of a sweetened fried white flour ball with plantain or coconut flavor and baked plantain.

- Then you'll learn what you should pay attention to when cooking and learn some useful cooking tricks
- You will then start cooking yourself
- At the end, dishes are tasted together

What to bring to the class
“Normal” kitchen equipment is sufficient for the dishes. Please bring a cooking apron and, if desired, your own drinks.
