The core idea of suture and action is sustainability. The seam in our logo symbolizes the connection between old and new products. Everything is made by hand and no new material is made for the products, making the individually manufactured unique item a centrepiece.
I am Kerstin Goy-Yun and I have worked in the clothing industry for over 20 years. What began at the age of 6 on my grandmother's sewing machine has developed into a passion over the course of my life as an apprentice as a women tailor and a degree in clothing technology. After my years as a product developer in the clothing industry at Adidas and PUMA, I became involved in the tailoring workshop of the social institution “Lilith e.V. — Drug Aid for Women and Children.” There was a significant combination of lived textile passion and social commitment, which inspired me to found NAHT&TAT in 2020. In addition, I work at the Vocational School 5 “Fashion Schools Nuremberg” in the city of Nuremberg as a teacher of manufacturing technology and pattern design.
Since May 2025, my workshop and shop have been located at Peterstr. 3 in 90478 Nuremberg. The 85 square meter former bakery offers enough space for workshops with up to 8 sewing participants or up to 12 people for individual events. The premises are equipped with a professional tailoring area, where I carry out custom-made products, product developments and changes, as well as a separate workshop and inspiration area and a small kitchen and toilet.
What makes me and my courses unique? When I sew or teach, I love what I do. My wide-ranging education and long work as a “problem solver” in product development allows me to provide my customers and students with complex solutions and answers. My benefit is to offer a variety of courses and to get involved professionally with the participants. I therefore offer sewing courses for all areas of knowledge and product, as well as related pattern design courses. I hope that more people will receive their clothes again and learn how to repair them or use them for another purpose. That is why I focus on tailoring, refashion and upcycling courses. I pass on my passion in my courses and like to feel the joy that spills over.
In private or corporate events, I like to adapt to the organizer's topic and plan a suitable event for the participants. The events can take place in my workshop or at individually desired locations.
