Class description
Experience an uncomplicated introduction to the modern world of wine.
We'll show you how you can experience, enjoy and evaluate wine with more emotion.
Find out for yourself how wine and Asian food can exchange, complement and harmonize with each other. Unusual and wonderfully crazy combinations of dishes from all over Asia, served with wines from the western world, will surprise and inspire even the experienced wine connoisseur.
This is the process
International wine styles have developed in line with the respective western cuisines; the combinations with Asian cuisines very often require wines that differ significantly from current “mainstream”.
- Learn to taste these differences easily and above all delightfully on the basis of a tasting menu across the Asian continent
- Six different wines, mineral water, a 6-course meal, such as the following example, will be tasted
Sample menu
- 1. Riesling sparkling wine 2008 Kirsten Winery, Klüsserath, Mosel
- Spring roll filled with duck breast and vegetables
- Shu Mai with prawns and vegetables
- Samosa with vegetables
- Sesame Wan Tan with pork and vegetables
- This colorful range of finger foods can be found throughout Asia
- 2nd “Shiro” blend of Muscat Ottonel, Welschriesling and Chardonnay, 2009 semi-dry, Martin Pasler, Jois Neusiedlersee, Austria
- Mixed nigiri and maki sushi
- Enjoy an extensive selection of Japanese sushi classics

- 4. Chardonnay “barrel fermented” W.O.2009 Jordan, Stellenbosch, South Africa
- yellow coconut curry with tofu and vegetables
- This curry dish, which we prepare originally, comes from Thai cuisine
- 5th “Aka” cuvée from Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt 2007 Martin Pasler, Jois Neusiedlersee, Austria
- Shake teriyaki
- Delicately grilled salmon fillet prepared using a special Japanese teriyaki technique with homemade teriyaki sauce
- 6. Riesling “Mellifera” W.O.2008 Noble Late Harvest Jordan, Stellenbosch, South Africa
- sesame dango
- The balls made from sticky rice are first filled with azuki bean puree, rolled in sesame and then fried.
An exceptional, sweet treat that rounds off our menu in a special way.
Of course, we also respond to individual requests! Let us know in advance if you would like a vegetarian menu, for example.
