About this class
Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin Yoko, comes from Japan and means immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest with all your senses. The healing powers of nature combined with perceptual and mindfulness exercises help wonderfully to reduce stress and experience relaxation. We put everyday worries aside and enjoy the moment together and set off on a journey of discovery in the forest. We move slowly through the forest and do various exercises in silence to consciously open all our senses to the environment.
What you’ll do in the class
I'll meet you at Ilquelle. During a short introduction, we let ourselves be driven in one direction as we feel and consciously perceive our surroundings. We train our powers of observation, carry out various perception exercises, explore the terrain, search for animals and their tracks, listen, smell, touch various elements, structures, etc.
Who is the class suitable for?
Since it is not about completing a specific route in a specific time, the course is equally suitable for younger and older participants. Due to the uneven terrain, it is less suitable for wheelchair users (but I can also plan a suitable route if you ask in advance)
