Maki, sushi or would you prefer California rolls? You'll learn all of this in my online course. Whether it's fish or veggie — I guarantee lots of fun and good sushi!
Hardly any other Japanese dish is as popular and widespread worldwide as Maki Rolls. I'll show you how to prepare this healthy finger food quickly and easily at home.
With me, you'll learn how to:
- Make maki rolls properly rolled and prepared with a mat
- Cut vegetables and fish properly
- Cook the rice properly
- Makes a great wasabi mayonnaise.
I'll also show you a wide variety of fillings from “fish” to vegetarian. Whether on your own or with a large group of friends, rolling sushi makis is really fun and easier than you think.
Did you actually know that the word “Makizushi” first appeared in a book in 1749? It was the term for seafood that was rolled using a bamboo mat. The concept was very similar to the modern Maki of today.

What to bring?
Lots of good humor and, of course, all the ingredients on the shopping list. The course takes place on Zoom. Zoom is available for many platforms (Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android). An internet-enabled device with zoom is required to take part in the course. A camera or microphone is recommended but not necessary.
