Class description

This cake is also known as the king cake. It is baked on January 6th. This cake is mainly served in France, Belgium and Luxembourg as well as Saarland.

 

What is the cake made of and what are we going to make?

It consists of puff pastry and frangipane. Frangipane is an almond cream. In the galette, a Feve is baked, that is a porcelain figurine and whoever then receives the piece with the porcelain figure is the king for a day. We'd rather bake an almond though, we don't want to bite our teeth out;)

We will also produce Mille Feuille. These are small round bites made from puff pastry and vanilla cream.
