Experience the world of wine at our wine seminar for beginners in Dortmund. Discover 10 different red, white and rosé wines and learn the basics of wine sensory and oenology.
Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Dortmund is centrally located, less than a 5-minute walk from the main train station. Beautifully located on the first floor, our seminars take place in the light-open breakfast room with a panoramic view.
What you’ll do in the class
- Greeting by sommelier Ute Albers with a refreshing welcome champagne
- Introduction to wine sensory: learning the basics of wine tasting
- Tasting of 10 different international wines (white, rosé and red)
- Imparting knowledge about winemaking
- Overview of the most important grape varieties and wine regions
- Learn to interpret wine labels correctly
- Explanation of the relationship between taste and smell during wine tasting
- Practice-oriented exercises to identify personal taste preferences
- Bread and water to neutralize taste buds
- Between tasting rounds: information on wine regions, grape varieties and wine styles
