About this experience
A strange message is reaching you. A mysterious old lady writes that she knows the most hidden places in Nuremberg — and now also the best kept secret in the city. She is looking for the brightest people to whom she can entrust it. Whoever solves their puzzles will be initiated at the end. If you fail, you'll never know.
The route starts right at the main train station and leads deep into the old town — past the Handwerkerhof, whose walls hide more than they show, via the main market square and the town hall, where clues are hidden in the hustle and bustle, up to the Kaiserburg with a view over the rooftops of the city. Along the way, you'll follow in the footsteps of Albrecht Dürer — one of the city's most famous sons, who realized projects here that very few people know about. Some puzzles take you back in time, others take you to corners of the city that even locals rarely enter.
We developed this tour ourselves: We traveled the route, chose the locations, wrote the story and designed the puzzles directly on site — tailored to what you really see, find and experience there. No AI, no generic template. Each of our tours is created this way, and it shows.
Along the way, you'll learn things about Nuremberg that no travel guide tells you: According to legend, what the devil has to do with St. Lawrence Church. Why there is a huge tunnel system under the entire city. And what Albrecht Dürer really left behind here. The puzzles are designed in such a way that different strengths are required — observation, logic, historical intuition, creativity. Tricky enough for escape room fans, accessible enough for anyone who's never done it before.
The start is right at Nuremberg Central Station — easily accessible by bus and train, no walking distance to the entrance. The finale awaits at Kaiserburg, with a view of the city that puts the whole tour in a different light once again. From there, the restaurants and bars of the old town are just a few steps away.
