About this class

Our weekly wine class invites you to dive into Georgian wine through an interactive and informative experience. Guided by our sommelier, you'll explore different grape varieties, wine regions, the unique Qvevri tradition, and many more fascinating aspects of Georgian viticulture. Taste six carefully selected wines paired with a charcuterie board created especially for the event, ask questions anytime, and enjoy an engaging, social atmosphere that requires no prior knowledge — just curiosity and a passion for discovery.

What you’ll do in the class

The tasting starts with a brief orientation by our sommelier, who sets the theme and context for the wines you'll be tasting. Step by step, you'll explore how region, climate, and winemaking methods shape each wine. You'll taste six wines, compare styles, and learn how to recognize characteristics in aroma, color, and texture. You'll also explore how certain foods complement the wines, discovering how flavors can highlight, soften, or elevate the aromas and character of what's in the glass. The tasting is held in English, with support in German whenever needed, so everyone can comfortably follow and fully enjoy the experience.

Who is the class suitable for?

Anyone interested in Georgian wine, regardless of knowledge or experience. All you need is a desire to learn something new.

It was my first wine tasting and I really loved it! The wines were delicious and there was a snack platter with suitable treats. A lot was also told about the different types of wine in Georgia and how they are produced. I've learned a great deal. All questions were answered very nicely.
