Get to know Robert Bree

Hi, I'm Robert, lettering artist from Munich — and for over ten years I've loved everything that has to do with letters, curves and decorations. Hand lettering, brush lettering and particularly artistic flourishes (The Flourish Club) are my world.

What fascinated me from the start was the elegance of well-designed letter forms — long before I knew that you could actually learn that. I have taught myself a lot along the way — collecting my knowledge piece by piece over the years — in online courses, at events, in workshops and through exchange with other creative people.

Today I share my knowledge in my own workshops in Germany and internationally and I am happy when I can help others find their own creative style. Because behind every swing there is an idea — and there is so much to talk about.

My workshops take place at Krämer'schen Kunstmühle in Munich, a wonderful and inspiring location where I can teach small and larger groups. Between 4-15 people can participate in spacious and bright rooms with a terrace and views of nature, although it is only a stone's throw away from the center of Munich.

I offer my courses in German, English or Italian — whichever suits the group best. You can find me locally in Munich, at individually agreed locations or online via Zoom.

I often hear from participants that I have a special but at the same time very understandable way of imparting my knowledge. Especially with flourishes, I manage to break down even complex works in such a way that they become tangible and easy to understand. Step by step — with fun, a system and an eye for detail.

I also offer individually tailored workshops for private groups. I tailor the content and process entirely to the needs of the participants — whether beginners or advanced users. Based on my experience, I can flexibly offer topics and exercises that suit every level.

Thanks to my linguistic diversity and my openness to people from different cultures, it is easy to quickly create a good atmosphere — leaving my mind free for creative work.

As a special location, the Krämer'sche Kunstmühle in Munich offers an inspiring environment for this. However, workshops in other locations are also possible on request.
