Hi, I'm Michaela!
I discovered my enthusiasm for textiles and sewing at a young age. What began as a childhood dream developed into a real passion during my school years. After graduating from high school, it was clear to me that I wanted to turn my passion into my profession and began training as a seamstress in industry.
Following my apprenticeship, I moved to Düsseldorf to join Müller & Sohn. There I specialized in editing technology and design and successfully graduated as a cutting and design director. My professional development took me on to Mönchengladbach, where I qualified as a clothing technician. I then gained practical experience in tailoring at van Laack, an established shirt manufacturer, over several years. There I honed my craft in terms of accuracy and high-quality workmanship.
“Nähkästchen” is a place where amateur tailors not only find high-quality fabrics and haberdashery, but also expert and heartfelt advice. The sewing courses that I offer are a central part of what I offer and offer beginners and advanced students the opportunity to expand their skills and let their creativity run wild.
