Little Miss Arty book classes

Hi, I'm Juliane Mertens Eckhardt, also known as Little Miss Arty. As a freelance artist and art teacher, I live and work in Berlin. My mission is to awaken people's desire for art and to help them discover and develop their own artistic voice.

I discovered my passion for art at a young age. I come from a family of artists in which creativity always played a major role. But there are no special requirements to be an artist — I am convinced that there is an artist in every person. You just have to dare to allow and express your own creativity.

Through my parents, school, my art studies, working with colleagues and the support of teachers, I have learned how important it is to approach creative processes with ease and joy. I find working in a group particularly inspiring, as the exchange brings fresh ideas and new perspectives. Because artistic development comes from doing — the journey is the goal.

I have continued to develop myself over the past few years. I illustrate for magazines, have held numerous exhibitions and have worked as a course instructor for several years. My workshops are aimed at children, adolescents and adults — and beginners are very welcome! We get to work playfully and with lots of fun, and I promise that everyone will go home with a beautiful piece of art.

I offer my courses in my cozy studio in Pankow, which creates an inspiring environment for creative development. The group consists of 2 to 5 participants, so I can respond to each individual individually and create a cozy, personal atmosphere. My courses are particularly suitable for girlfriends or small groups. If the group is larger, I would be happy to come to you or another desired location to offer the workshop there. In spring and summer, the course is also often moved to the garden behind my studio, which creates a particularly relaxed and creative atmosphere.
