My name is Leila Maghmoumi.
I'm an illustrator, author & fitness trainer — and I create spaces where people can meet themselves.
I was born in Iran. Migration brought freedom, but also loss. This tension still accompanies me today and is a central theme of my artistic work. In collages, sculptures and writing, I talk about origin, memory, rupture and new beginnings. My works are complex — just like identity itself.
As a child, I was shy, watching, more in the background. Art was quiet in my life for a long time. Art is not as a hobby, but as an inner necessity. Today I know that for me, designing is a form of freedom, processing and truth.
I have been working as a fitness trainer for many years. Art is a physical, sensual process.
With my workshops and projects, I invite people to experiment, feel and discover their own expression.
For me, art is not a product.
It is a process.
And an invitation.
