Get to know Eyass Hanoun
The cuisine of my home country is an important part of our culture and makes me proud. That's why I'm working on refining them. However, I don't limit myself to well-known dishes, but would also like to introduce my guests to the typical “mom's style” home cooking that you barely find outside your own four walls, even in the Orient. As a Damascus native, I have largely specialized in the cuisine of my hometown, which has a similar meaning in the Orient as French cuisine in Europe. Their influences can also be found in the rest of Syria and in many neighboring countries. That's why I chose the name “Bab Kisan”, which refers to one of the most visited city gates in Damascus. In its vicinity, I grew up in the culturally important Bab Touma district, which is known for its beauty, history and good food.
