I am André Wegmann, born in 1988 in beautiful Saarland and live in Marpingen with my wife and our dog Max. I founded Andrés in a bottle in January 2025.
I have been fascinated by the world of wine for many years — its diversity, its stories and the special atmosphere that goes with a good glass of wine. My interest began around the age of 20, initially completely clumsy: Back then, the focus was primarily on drinking pleasure. But over time, my curiosity grew to learn more about wine, its origins and the people behind it. I wanted to know why a Riesling from the Moselle tastes so different from one from the Palatinate or what exactly makes a good red wine. So I began to study the topic more and more intensively, tried different grape varieties, read specialist literature and listened carefully whenever a winemaker talked about his work.
With every new wine I discovered, I became more aware that wine is much more than just a drink — it is an expression of a region, a soil, a year and, above all, of the people who create it with passion. I found the stories behind the wines particularly exciting: How long traditions last in some wineries, what challenges winemakers overcome in the vineyards and how differently wine can develop through cultivation and cellar technology. I would like to convey all of this during my personal wine tastings.
Unfortunately, wine tastings often have the reputation of being formal or stiff. But that is exactly what I want to do differently! I offer private wine tastings — in the comfort of your own home, without compulsion or complicated technical terms. Together we taste exciting wines, explore their aromas and backgrounds. It's not about whether you already know a lot about wine or are just at the beginning of your journey of discovery — the focus is on enjoyment, conviviality and the fun of discovering new wines.
