About this class
Taste the world of sustainable wines! At our exclusive wine tasting on May 16, 2025 in Bonn, you will taste wines made from innovative “mushroom resistant” (“PiWi”) grape varieties. Learn why these “future wines” are the answer to climate change and are just right for organic viticulture. Save your space now!
What you’ll do in the class
At the beginning, you will receive an introduction to the world of PIWI wines: What are fungus-resistant grape varieties and why are they so important for sustainable viticulture? We will then taste a selection of different PIWI wines from different regions and wine styles (white, rosé and red) together. In between, there is exciting background information on cultivation, development and taste profiles. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can ask questions, share impressions and discover your personal PIWI favorite. Bread and water are also available so that the focus is on enjoyment.
Who is the class suitable for?
This seminar is perfect for anyone who not only wants to drink wine, but also wants to experience it. Whether curious wine lovers, conscious connoisseurs or discoverers of new trends — everyone is welcome here who wants to taste the future of viticulture in a glass. No previous experience is necessary, just the joy of discovering and enjoying. Anyone who appreciates sustainable moments of pleasure and wants to get to know the variety of innovative wines will feel completely at home this evening.
