Class description

Are you interested in natural cosmetics and would like to make the world a more sustainable place? Then our natural cosmetics workshop in Berlin is just the thing for you. Here you will learn how to make your own soap.

What is the process?

  • We start by choosing your favorite fragrance and the matching plant colors, herbs, flowers and other nourishing additives according to your wishes
  • In a short theoretical introduction, I explain how soap is produced during saponification, what properties the processed vegetable oils have for skin care, foaming power and soap quality
  • and what you have to consider when handling the necessary caustic soda
  • Then it's straight to practical soap making: the raw materials are weighed and heated
  • I'll show you the safe method of working with caustic soda and use the mixer
  • From here on, everyone designs their own soap according to their wishes
  • Finally, the soap is filled into molds that you can take home right away
  • I am happy to answer all your questions about raw materials, sources of supply, packaging ideas, skin care or allergies
