About this class
The world of Scottish life water is diverse. So are the names on the often very beautifully designed labels. But what do the terms such as blended, single malt, or cask strength actually mean? Is it possible to deduce the taste of the contents based on the information on the label? What is the age information about? Right in the heart of the city, we get to the bottom of these questions, taste selected distillates, clarify the terms and give you the tools to better understand Scottish whiskey for yourself.
Scottish whiskey has been experiencing a real boom for years, the limits of which are not yet foreseeable. All the more, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find your way around the denser thickets of a wide variety of bottlings. Most beverage menus include types of whiskey with almost unpronounceable distillery names and detailed markings relating to the region and production. This seminar will help you decipher the codes on the labels and thus separate the important from the unimportant information. This increases safety in handling Scotch and makes it fun to try something new.
