Vegesack — a district with maritime history

Vegesack is a place with soul — characterized by shipbuilding and the proximity to the Weser. As early as the early 17th century, one of Germany's first artificially constructed river ports was built here. Over time, Vegesack developed into a popular retreat for wealthy Bremen merchants, who had magnificent villas built on the high banks of the Weser.
