Class description

For many bakers, including otherwise experienced ones, yeast dough is a problem child. I can help with that, because yeast dough is really not difficult. But I can certainly also provide some tips and tricks for experienced yeast dough fans. There are many myths and rumors that you can usually throw overboard. With a few simple tips and tricks and the right recipe, anyone can bake delicious yeast pastries themselves. You'll get both in this course. We then form Easter bunnies and Easter nests from the dough. We also prepare a poppy seed filling and make a delicious poppy seed braid from it and the rest of the yeast dough.

 

How does the live online baking course: yeast dough and poppy seed braid work?

On the course date, we will meet via video conference and I will explain to you in detail how you can make delicious yeast pastries easily and safely. In doing so, you'll learn how to:

  • Make your own yeast dough safely
  • Shaping Easter bunnies and Easter nests
  • Cook a delicious poppy seed filling
  • Form the typical shape of poppy seed braids

The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in baking and would like to do it from home. It doesn't matter whether you already have baking experience or would like to gain your first experience with me. Also very suitable for children accompanied by an adult.

What to bring?

You get the ingredients and utensils on the shopping list that you don't already have. You should also weigh up all ingredients and prepare the utensils before the course.

The most important utensils that we need:

  • Food processor/mixer with dough hook - you can also knead by hand
  • oven with baking tray or rack and baking paper or separating agent
  • A suitable work surface
  • The usual kitchen utensils such as knives, spoons, bowls, scales...
  • An internet-enabled device with a camera and a large enough screen so that you can easily follow my work steps
  • A stable internet connection

What is included?

At least one week before the course starts, you will receive an email with the recipe with detailed instructions, a shopping list for the ingredients and a list of all necessary kitchen appliances that we need. We then meet online and have a lot of fun baking. I will guide you through the course and give tips and tricks from a professional. Of course, I would also be happy to answer any of your questions.
