About this class
The Lino Café is a place to creatively design, discover and relax with other linocut enthusiasts, where you can try out printing techniques, develop motifs, learn about materials and implement your own prints in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is where beginners and advanced users alike meet to dive into the world of linocutting, learn from each other and inspire each other. In a quiet, open environment, space is created for experiments, for playful work as well as for concentrated, in-depth design. The Lino Café invites you to develop new ideas, find your own visual languages and consciously experience creative processes.
In addition to manual work, the focus is also on exchange: this includes discussions about design, art and personal projects as well as looking at the resulting prints together. You can try out different tools, paints and papers, which gives you a comprehensive insight into the possibilities of linocutting.
The Lino Café sees itself not only as a workshop, but as a creative meeting place that combines community, deceleration and joy in artistic work and offers an inspiring balance to everyday life.
What you’ll do in the class
At Lino Café, you can use a professional printing press. You will receive support from artist Rebeca Ventura (Arte Gorda), who will advise you on technical and aesthetic issues.
Who is the class suitable for?
The Lino Café is suitable for anyone who wants to create their own motifs with linocuts and linocuts. Important: You should already have some experience with linocutting. If you are new to linocutting, feel free to ask for our “Introduction to Linocutting” course. We would be happy to arrange an appointment for you!
