About this class
In our workshop, you will learn about the fascinating art of kintsugi, a traditional Japanese technique for repairing ceramics and porcelain. In contrast to the classic method, which works with urushi varnish, a vegetable resin, and real gold, we use materials such as synthetic resin and color pigments in our workshop. These have the advantage of hardening faster and offering a variety of colors for repair.
You are welcome to bring your own ceramic or porcelain pieces that you would like to repair. Alternatively, you can also try out the technology on a piece provided by us. After the course, each participant can take their designed object home.
