About this class
In the Camera operation: compact workshop, I briefly and concisely explain (almost) all components, controls, functions and settings of a digital camera. We'll go through the most important menu items and learn how to use the camera so smoothly that we'll soon be able to focus more on our subjects (and take better photos).
What you’ll do in the class
We're looking at
- the basic camera settings (date, time, copyright, image quality, color space, file formats...)
- the basic functions of a digital camera (white balance, exposure metering, autofocus modes, release types, image playback, SD card formatting...)
- the operating modes of your camera (automatic mode, semi-automatic, scene programs)
And we practice
- to expose correctly: manual and semi-automatic camera settings (adjust sensitivity (ISO), aperture and shutter speed manually; shoot semi-automatically, make exposure corrections)
- safe to focus (select appropriate focus mode, set focus point)

The camera operation workshop: compact would like to take away any uncertainties and uncertainties regarding camera operation and get yourself ready for a lot of fun taking pictures later.
