With Heimat Gin Tasting, we start a fascinating journey through Germany's magnificent herb and orchards.
Juniper schnapps has a long history in our home country. However, the topic of gin in its complex, present-day form has only gained in importance in the last 10 years. At THE SPIRITISTS, we embark on a fascinating journey of discovery through Germany's botanical diversity and the variety of taste experiences it offers. Many of the gins we try are proud representatives of their regions and carry the taste heritage of these places.
What you’ll do in the class
In line with the motto: from field to bottle, we dedicate the first part of the tasting to the spicy and floral notes of the local gin world. Complex dry gin variants inspire and shape the picture here.
In general, you will always get a sample to sip on first and then half a gin & tonic with the respective gin. During the spirits trip, we take a culinary break and fortify ourselves with delicious excerpts from the kitchen.
In the second part of the Heimat Gin Tasting, we unpack the fruit basket. Fruity, fresh and highly aromatic distillates await our guests as we hike from the Rhine Valley to the coastal areas of Germany.
Who is the class suitable for?
The tasting is suitable for anyone who is interested in the different types of gin from our home country. It doesn't matter whether you are already a lover or this is your first tasting. Of course, you must have reached the age of 18.
