About this class
At the decorative casting workshop in Hamburg-Lokstedt, you will dive into the world of Keraflott casting and learn the basics of this versatile material. I will guide you step by step through mixing ratios, preparation and targeted use of pigments. You create your own design tray or decorative element — simple, softly colored or with a delicate marble or speckled look. In a calm, inspiring atmosphere, your first unique piece is created with Nordic clarity and personal signature.
What you’ll do in the class
Arrive & exhale
You arrive at our shop studio in Hamburg-Lokstedt and can take a deep breath. A welcome drink awaits you — either prosecco, water or juice. In a relaxed atmosphere, we start with a short introduction to the workshop process and give you an overview of what to expect.
Introduction to materials & basics
You will then learn about Keraflott as a versatile casting material: its properties, the right mixing ratio and the basics for a clean result. We talk about pigments, color effects and design techniques such as coloring, marbling or fine speckling. Everything is explained step by step — clearly, calmly and without pressure.
Design & cast
Now the creative part starts. You touch your material yourself, color it according to your ideas and create your own design tray or decorative element — pure and minimal, gently colored or with a delicate structure. I will accompany you individually and support you at every stage of the work so that you can design safely and with pleasure.
Curing & short break
As your workpieces harden, there is a moment to breathe deeply. Serve yourself at the snack bar, enjoy your drink, exchange ideas or let the creative atmosphere sink in. Perhaps you will also take time to discover the special design pieces in the studio in peace and quiet.
Demoulding & fine grinding
Finally, we unmold your pieces and put the finishing touches on them. Edges are smoothed out, surfaces are carefully finished — until your object gets its calm, clear appearance.
You go home with one or two unique pieces of your own design — depending on size, technology and design effort — and with the knowledge of how to use Keraflott safely and creatively.
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is for anyone who wants to take a creative break, create something lasting with their own hands and experience special moments in a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere.
