About this class
Join us for a pre-Christmas screen print workshop, held in the heart of Neukolln, in Zönotéka. During this workshop, you will have the chance to create your own souvenirs (tote bags, T-shirts, etc.) either from your own design/drawing, or from existing designs by us. All this, as part of Zönotéka’s current event series ‘Blumen des Bösen’, based on the concept of plant motifs, as symbolic carriers of global migration.
We will introduce you to the very basics of screen printing, using analog methods such as cut-outs, drawings, collages. Together we will go through these processes, offering a thorough understanding of the basics of this medium. We welcome you for a cosy, fun time together with light snacks and drinks provided.
What you’ll do in the class
We will offer an introduction to the screen printing medium, and all the tools and materials that can be used. Afterwards, you will create your own designs, and we will help you to print on your chosen souvenir item.
After the printing, we will guide you to fixate your print, which will allow you to immediately take it home with you, or to give it to your special ones.
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is perfect for beginners, creative minds, and anyone who enjoys making things by hand. No prior knowledge is required—just bring your curiosity and a little festive spirit!
Recommended age: 12 years and older. Younger participants are welcome under adult supervision.
