About this class

This workshop is part of the 'Blumen des Bösen' (Flowers of Evil) series by Zönotéka. We view plants as silent companions in our daily lives and bring them to new expression through historical cyanotype printing. After an introduction, you'll learn how light, plants, and simple materials create an image in vibrant blue. You'll design your own botanical or personal motif and develop a finished print or textile work to take home.

What you’ll do in the class

After an easy-to-understand introduction, you'll get to know the materials and process of cyanotype. You'll prepare your own motifs, try different variations, and take time to experiment. In the end, you'll create a personal artwork that captures a moment or a small story.
