About this class

Fine brandies are the real superstars... the supreme discipline among distillates. Free from caramel, no added sugar in the mash, no artificial aromas, fermented with gentle temperaurs, finely distilled are breathtaking attributes that not everyone can measure up to. Our noble brand sommelier Branko Drljaca will introduce you to 7 of these exquisite brandies, each of which is a highlight of the evening. This in combination with 7 suitable delicacies, which he and our chef have selected especially for this evening to go with the distillates and which are served with every “noble brandy”.

Branko Drjaca is himself an instructor of the Edelbrand Sommelier at the Genussakademie Bayern, sits as a juror on international and national juries, he is a distiller himself and won the World Spirits Award as the world's best stone fruit brandy 2021 with his plum brandy, which we also taste during the evening.

Anyone who loves fine distillates will be impressed by this evening and Branko's diverse knowledge.

What you’ll do in the class

After a warm welcome, we start with an introduction to the world of fine brandies, history, production and the variety of flavors. Together with our Edelbrand sommelier, we taste several selected brandies, and in between we serve a coordinated 7-course menu from our kitchen. At the end, there will be time for questions, exchange ideas and a relaxed end to the evening.
