Werkgut book classes
Get to know Werkgut
The Werkgut was founded in 2020 by designer Mikaela Dörfel. Here, together with selected artists, she organizes day and weekend workshops on various artistic and craft topics such as weaving, screen printing, wood sculpting, glass fusing, porcelain turning or jewelry design.
The Werkgut is an old farm from the 1910s, located in the middle of the Aukrug Nature Park. The centrepiece is the old barn with the free-floating staircase. From May to October, all workshops that take up a lot of space or make a little mess take place here. For more cozy workshops in autumn and winter, there is a beautiful, bright studio space. Together with the old part of the courtyard, there are 11 guest rooms in which workshop guests can live. Outside the workshops, some rooms are rented out as holiday homes. During the workshops, participants are provided with vegetarian, seasonal and certified organic products from us.
We are pleased to offer our participants many different craft techniques that go beyond a simple “painting weekend.”
