I can't help anyone who doesn't get along with Danny. A super likeable and absolutely knowledgeable woodworm. We didn't just file a board - no, he explained everything about felling to drying and showed us the various machines that we could operate ourselves. There was even an engraving at the end. Now we know what kind of work goes into such a great board. Thanks =)

I highly recommend the course. It is a great experience to do it yourself, to saw, slice, sand and finally hold your own cutting board in your hand. Denny has a great deal of expertise, which he shares. You learn important steps for working with wood and also gain further knowledge about the subject of wood. I can really recommend this workshop to anyone who enjoys crafts or simply wants to try something new.

Founder profile

Waldbart was founded in Schöneiche in 2021 by Denny König. Denny is a trained forester, experienced craftsman and engineer for product development and manufacturing. In the company, the founder combines many years of experience in the forestry and timber industry with extensive knowledge of crafts and engineering. As a forester at Berlin's forests, Denny learned wood and forestry from scratch. Working sustainably was an integral part of his daily work.

Denny is a family man and a true nature boy. In his free time, he uses every free minute to explore nature with his family. The founder comes from a family of craftsmen and learned to appreciate working with hands early on. There was always something to build or repair and because it was unbelievably fun, he was able to learn a variety of manual skills from grandfather and father early on.

Studying as an industrial engineer with a focus on manufacturing rounded off his pragmatic profile. Extensive knowledge of construction, materials and manufacturing technology and his professional experience in product development led him, in his desire to combine these worlds with his passion for wood as a material, to found his own company, in which he combines design, manufacturing and maintenance with his interdisciplinary approach as a typical problem solver.

About the factory and wood workshop

Our workshop rooms are located on a communal courtyard in beautiful Hessenwinkel, a district in Berlin Rahnsdorf right on Lake Dämmeritz and not far from Müggelsee. In addition to our wood factory, the Paul Schuricht car workshop, a real old-school mechanic workshop, is also located on the farm. For our wood workshop, we converted and modernized part of an old workshop hall for motor vehicles. Equipped with all necessary machines for traditional woodworking, the factory offers enough space to implement large projects. But our rooms are more than just a classic workshop. In a cozy atmosphere and sometimes with an artistic ambiance, they should invite you to meet, exchange ideas and learn new things. The perfect place for anyone who likes to learn new things and do it themselves.
