“Who is behind VINVIA”
My name is Stephan Jurende. Even during my business studies, I was seized by a passion for wine — triggered by my first trips to Tuscany and the Wachau region as well as by organising private wine tastings. Since then, the topic has not let go of me.

My wine education began in 1998 with wine seminars, including with world sommelier Markus del Monego, and finally led me to the renowned Austrian Wine Academy. In 2004, I completed the two-year course as a wine academic and WSET Level 5 Honors Diploma Graduate. My diploma thesis on “Product differentiation as an opportunity for small and medium-sized winegrowing businesses” was honored by Österreich Wein Marketing.

In 2004 I founded “VINVIA — The Way to Wine Culture” and have been working as a wine consultant and wine marketing consultant ever since. My customers include companies such as BMW, Google and Siemens, but also around 1000 private wine lovers who attend my events every year. In 2019, I also obtained the qualification as an “official taster” in Austria.

I live in Ostallgäu with my family, I am married, have a son — and share my passion for wine with people who appreciate pleasure, knowledge and culture.

At my location in Munich, I offer wine seminars for up to 24 participants. In addition to the classics “wine sensory”, “white wine”, “red wine”, these also include so-called gourmet seminars, such as “cheese and wine”, “chocolate and wine”, as well as wine country seminars such as “wine country Italy” or “Spain meets Portugal”.

At these events, I see myself not only as your wine guide, but rather as your personal wine tour guide. Together, we explore the world's most fascinating wine regions with appealing pictures and exceptional wines — a journey for head, heart and palate. Sustainable transfer of knowledge, entertaining hours and an unforgettable experience for all senses are my aim and promise.
