Dear oil mill friends,

If you want to capture the power of nature like the Ölmühle Garting, you need a keen sense, a connection to the earth and lots of inspiration. My team and I are inspired by the rolling hills, meadows and fields of the Bavarian Schnaitsee near Wasserburg am Inn, not far from Chiemgau. A mature cultural landscape in Upper Bavaria, a special piece of land. My family lives and works here on a farm in the district of Garting.

I took over my parents' farming in 2008 as a traditional dairy farm. My wife Irmi and I quickly realized that we wanted a different future, but without denying our roots. Our first approach: converting the company to rapeseed oil production as a renewable energy source. When this was no longer supported politically, our adventure into the world of gently pressed, virgin cooking oils began.
