Alpaca hikes

We are Anja and Marko, our four children, two dogs, two cats, 2 goats, 7 dwarf goats, a band of rabbits, as well as 4 chinchillas and finally, of course, our unique Hirschbach alpacas.
The idea of keeping alpacas came about by chance. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon, we were traveling in the car and lost our way. We “stranded” on a dirt road, but we were not alone. A large herd of alpacas was waiting for us on the adjacent meadow and sparked our interest.

We were immediately fascinated by the animals and Marko in particular emphasized from then on that he would like to have alpacas himself. Since Christmas was just around the corner, I decided to grant him this wish and immediately began researching how to keep the animals. After making contact with a breeder, I too couldn't wait until I could give Marko three alpacas as a gift. On Christmas Eve, I was finally able to unravel the secret of Marko's gift, and his joy was immense.

A short time later, through discussions with other breeders, we realized that we wanted more! With this, the idea was born not only to keep the animals, but also to breed them and offer alpaca hikes.

Our alpaca meadow is located in the middle of the beautiful Ahr Valley town of Ahrbrück, near the legendary Nürburgring.
