I'm Daniela, founder of Geigenkaefer. My creative company has been around since 2019 — but my passion for making things yourself has been with me all my life.

Even as a child, my grandma taught me how to knit, crochet and embroider. That's when I started my love for creative design, which still accompanies me today. When handicrafts were back in vogue (after they were considered rather uncool as a teenager), I ventured into self-employment and sold my first crocheted baby booties.

Today, geigenkaefer is much more than that. My product range and workshops are constantly evolving. Macrame was joined by creative gypsum ceramic projects, later DIY sets and now also individual 3D printed products. For me, trying out new ideas and discovering creative techniques is simply part of it — there is no such thing as a standstill for me.

Creative workshops with a heart

My creative workshops are particularly important to me. I love sharing my passion for handmade things with others and helping people create something of their own. Whether it's a macrame workshop, plaster ceramic casting, creative events for hen parties, company parties, girls' evenings, children's birthday parties or private groups — I have now welcomed over 1,000 participants.

There is hardly anything better than looking at happy faces at the end of a workshop and seeing how proud everyone is taking home their homemade work. It is precisely these moments that make my work so special.

Since 2025, you can find me at Unser1 in Weilheim an der Teck. Together with Gudrun from Banda di Monelli, we have created a place where creativity is lived. Here you can discover handmade gift ideas, buy individual decoration and take part in varied creative workshops.

Creativity starts at home

When I'm not at Unser1, I enjoy spending my time with my family. I live with my husband and our three sons. For me, a lively home full of friends, family and shared moments means happiness. Plus good food, sunshine, music — and of course always a new creative project.
