Horses live in the here and now. They perceive our behavior and feelings unfiltered and reflect them to us in a value-free manner. They are neither resentful, manipulative nor anticipatory. They are not interested in our status symbols or in our careers. They simply accept us as we are.

Many people miss this authenticity in their daily environment, whether when dealing with themselves or with those around them. Based on experiences, opinions and external influences, we often take on a role without being aware of it. Tension, lack of self-confidence and conflicts are just a few possible consequences.

When working with horses, we can feel and see these inner processes and patterns of behavior. The horse reflects our communication behavior as well as our own and others' image. It teaches us to build trust and yet set limits. It encourages us to make decisions and develop new solutions.

How does equine-assisted coaching work?

Horse-assisted coaching does not involve riding, but only working with the horse from the ground. Experience in handling horses is not required for this.

Horse-assisted coaching is about interacting with the horse through observation and exercises. The horse does not take on the role of coach. Rather, it serves as a natural impetus for self-reflection. Since self-reflection with horses takes place primarily on an emotional and experience-based level, the process of change has been proven to be essential and sustainable.

The experience with the horse is then discussed and reflected on with the coach. On this basis, options for action can then be developed.
