About us

We're Patrick and Laura. We are both creative minds, sociable people and actually a married couple. In 2022, we decided that we would not only like to do everyday family life together, but also work together.

Patrick is the esthete in our relationship. He loves good coffee, wine, gin, likes cooking and loves roaming around on his old Vespa. He always has good ideas, especially when it comes to furnishing, and is fun for everyone.

Patrick has worked full time as a production manager for television and digital formats for over 25 years and is now striving to concentrate on our joint project “creative hideaway” a few days a week. Here he takes over the administrative tasks and takes care of your inquiries and bookings.

Laura is the creative person who always likes to reinvent herself. She is a blogger, creator, and influencer.
As an original television editor and author (Patrick and Laura met and fell in love with each other on TV), Laura is the one who drives ideas forward. After the birth of their daughter, the job they actually learned didn't stop there.

Through two marketing departments, she finally got “stuck” with setting up her own Instagram channel @willkommen_bei_den_wues and launched her own blog.

Since she likes to change and reinvent herself again and again, she completed her training as a Powerful Woman Trainer with Tini Busch in 2022. Because encouraging women to go their own way and to believe in themselves is Laura's heart's mission.

Building on this, she is currently taking courses as a naturopath psychotherapy and as a memory trainer. She expresses her creative side in various ways: From flower wreaths to watercolor painting to hand lettering... Laura always needs creative balance.

The location

Right in the heart of Cologne city center in one of the oldest houses, you'll find the creative hideaway. Behind the beautiful, antique wooden door, you will find the entrance on the left side. If the door is not open, you can ring the bell at any time.

The rooms on the ground floor extend over an approximately 10 square meter entrance with a desk area and a cozy sitting area. You can hang up your jacket at the cloakroom before you reach the upper level via the industrially designed staircase.

The ancient, creaky floorboards transport you to another era and the large lattice windows offer you brightness to discover this charming, charismatic space.

Thanks to our “flexible” furniture, we have the opportunity to use the rear area separated by a swing door as a cozy 1:1 coaching room, to give a seminar in a classic circle of chairs or to organise creative workshops at large tables. Of course, the room can also be used for yoga or meditation.

A large staircase takes you to the spacious kitchen with coffee machine, refrigerator and seating area. This room is often used as an entertaining retreat or to grab a refreshing drink or tea.

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

There is always something to do with us. That is why we offer you a range of options, creative, sociable and with a lot of passion.

Flower hoop:

While you are shown how to tie a beautiful “flower hoop” wreath out of dried flowers, you can concentrate entirely on your creative craft, listening to music or lively conversations. As a sign of these precious hours, which will hopefully last a long time, you can decorate your flower wreath in your home and keep it as a reminder of the lightness you have gained.

Bottle garden:

We will show you how a bottle garden can be created and how you can create a natural, self-sufficient biotope even as a non-gardener.
We will provide you with valuable tips and tricks so that you can then take your mini garden home as a sign of the pleasant hours of “me time”.

Vision board:

After we've already talked about gratitude and small joys in everyday life, we'll now focus on your full potential and how you can achieve your goals and dreams. With the help of the vision board, you can visualize all your wishes and remind yourself again and again at home.

The courses and workshops are offered both openly and as a private event.
