Photo courses for beginners

For me, photography doesn't start with technology, but with vision. Many people take pictures every day but feel insecure using their camera or remain permanently in automatic mode. This is exactly where I start with my workshops for beginners.

I am a photographer and designer and have been working with images for many years — both in private and professional contexts. My passion for photography came from the desire to consciously capture moments and tell visual stories. Over time, it became an integral part of my professional work. Today, I combine photographic know-how with an understanding of design and share this knowledge in a structured way.

My mission is to make photography understandable and to give beginners confidence when using their camera. It is not about perfect technology, but about understanding connections and developing your own photographic vision.

Location
My workshops take place in Buchholz in Nordheide in a personal and quiet atmosphere. Depending on the content, we first work indoors and then go into practice together. The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities to try out different subjects and lighting situations directly.

I consciously work with small groups of around 5 to 15 people. This leaves enough room for individual questions, direct support and joint discussion of the results. The manageable group size enables concentrated work and a pleasant learning atmosphere.

Courses and events
In my workshops for beginners, I teach the basics of photography relating to aperture, time, ISO, image composition and light. It is important to me that technical relationships are explained in a comprehensible way and that they are directly applied. Theory and practice are therefore closely intertwined.

Participants learn to use their camera consciously, to see subjects more clearly and to design images in a targeted manner. The focus is on safe use of one's own camera and a better understanding of image impact.

What makes my courses special is the combination of structured knowledge, direct implementation and personal support. There is plenty of time for questions, exchanges and individual support.

Team events and private events
My workshops can also be booked as a private group or team event. The format is suitable for groups of friends, small teams or families who want to work creatively together and rediscover photography.

In these cases, I adapt the content and process to the respective group. Whether it's basics, joint photography or specific topics of choice — the workshop is individually designed. The small group size creates a concentrated yet relaxed atmosphere that focuses on learning and shared experience.
