About this class
In the midst of the idyllic nature of Fürstenberg (Havel), a creative day full of inspiration and expression awaits you. You draw and paint water, reeds, plants and animals — intuitively and freely. With various techniques such as ink, acrylic or chalk, you explore your environment artistically. Experienced course instructor Silke Kirschning will guide you through three creative modules that promote conscious perception and intuitive design. Whether at the lake, in the studio or in the open air — it's the process that counts here, not the perfect result. Ideal for anyone who wants to combine art and nature.
What you’ll do in the class
1. Welcome & arrival (10:30 — 10:50)

- Introduction and choice of materials
- List the three creative modules
- In which locations do we work (depending on the weather only indoors or outdoors)

3. Selection of materials & experimentation (11:00 — 11:15)
- Brief introduction to the available materials (chalk, graphite, charcoal, ink, acrylic, etc.)
- You help yourself and try things out, feel what's right for you
- Objective: Playful approximation — what feels right, what appeals to you?
4th module 1: Intuitive painting (11:15 — 13:00)
- Topic: “Follow the inside”
- Brief introduction: Focus on process rather than result
- Suggestion: Paint without a plan — follow what you see and visualize it in lines, through colors and shapes as they want to be created
- Use materials that you find and dip them in ink, etc.
- Optional exchange of experiences (briefly showing or describing who wants)
5th lunch break (13:00 — 14:00)
- Joint meal (takeaway buffet)
- Open discussion, exchange, withdrawal is also possible
- If the weather is nice: sunbathe or jump in the lake, if you like (bring your own bathing suit)
6. Module 2: Consciously drawing a detail from nature (14:00 — 15:15)
- Impulse questions:
- Which detail are you interested in?
- What is its connection to the landscape?
- Can you recognize structures?
- Where is it light, where is it dark? Where are there other strong contrasts?
- Optional exchange of experiences (briefly showing or describing who wants)
7. Module 3: Topic: “Painting with reference to the landscape” (15:15-16:30)
- Suggestion:
- Be inspired by the landscape — What colors, shadows and reflections do you see?
- What is the connection between the detail and the landscape?
- The following also applies here: an individual interpretation of the situation is welcome
8. Free work & integration (16:30 — 17:00)
- Time to deepen the ideas from one or more modules
- Feedback from Silke Kirschning on request
- Objective: The previous experiences flow together, something unique is created
9th final round & reflection (17:00 — 17:30)
- Voluntary showing & sharing:
- What was created?
- What was touching or surprising?
- What am I taking with me?
