Experience an extraordinary whiskey tasting in Hamburg-Altona that combines pleasure, knowledge and community! In “Malts & Mythen,” you'll taste five selected whiskeys from Scotland, the USA and Japan, clear up classic whiskey mistakes and try two whiskey cocktails. There is also finger food and a handout so that you can deepen what you have experienced at home — ideal for gourmets, groups or as a special gift.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome with a whiskey drink
- Introduction to whisky history, production and myths
- Tasting of 5 selected types of whiskey from different regions
- Expertise in aromas, barrel aging and drinking techniques
- Whisky cocktails as an aperitif and final drink
- Finger food to neutralize taste
- Handout with facts and recommendations for later
We will try three different Scottish single malt whiskies, a representative from the USA and whiskey from Japan. We will taste a total of five exclusive whiskies.
