About this experience
Whisky in Erfurt — handmade and unadulterated by Nicolai & Sohn. With our whiskey tasting, we invite you to take a look behind the scenes of our distillery and experience the journey from raw spirit to aged whiskey.
You start with our fresh New Make in various strengths and find out why distillation and craftsmanship are at the core of it all for us. We talk about our history, the specifics of production and what makes our whisky different from others. At halftime, a snack with sausage, cheese, fresh spreads, bread and salad is waiting for you — simple, honest, good. We then continue with seasonal whiskies, where we take a close look at the influences of different barrels.
Not marketing talk, not an “all you can drink”, but an evening with genuine whiskey, honest craftsmanship and an open atmosphere in which enjoyment and respect are paramount.

- Welcome to the Nicolai & Sohn distillery (Hall 2 in Kulturbahnhof Erfurt)
- Tasting New Make whiskey in various vol.-% strengths
- Introduction to the history of the distillery and production features
- Joint snack with sausage, cheese, spreads, bread, rolls and salad
- Tasting other seasonal whiskies with different barrel influences
- Possibility to receive additional drinks on site for a donation
