About this class
In this Christmas ceramics course, children discover the fascinating world of pottery and create unique works of art out of clay — in a festive style. Together we create winter figures, Christmas trees, candle holders and other lovely Christmas decorations. Every child can contribute their own ideas and learn step by step how to create a real work of art from a piece of clay.
What you’ll do in the class
- Greeting and brief introduction to using sound
- Finding ideas and sketches for Christmas motifs
- Shaping and modelling ceramic works
- Decorate with structures, details and winter elements
- Painting with ceramic glazes
- The works are fired in the studio and can then be picked up
- All steps are explained in an understandable way — no previous knowledge is required.
Who is the class suitable for?
We model, decorate, work with various clay forms and then add color to the works of art with special ceramic glazes. After burning in the studio, the children can take away their finished ceramic pieces as wonderful Christmas gifts or as home decoration. The course is suitable for children aged 6 to 13 years.
