Class description
The first step in a ceramics course is to become familiar with the clay. The connection between earth and humans is perceived very intensively and flows into your creativity. You'll learn how to make vessels using various methods and may be inspired by Japanese. When the vessels burn, all elements of the earth connect in your vessel. Interested parties who are already familiar with the tone can share their wishes and ideas with me.
How does this activity work?
In this course of approx. 4-5 hours, you will produce at least 2 different vessels using different construction techniques. A tea or cereal bowl and maybe a flower vase, approx. 20 cm high. I present various techniques and your own creativity creates vessels that match your personality
I then take over:
Drying and firing processes: Scrub firing and glaze firing & glazing the vessel.
The works can be picked up by appointment or shipped at an additional cost.

What to bring?
- A desire for creativity, of course, perhaps for a new challenge.
- An apron and/or old clothes are useful.
What is included?
- All materials and tools.
- Personal support and guidance from an experienced course instructor.
- Firing and glazing for the workpieces.
- After the course, your pieces will be fired in an electric oven and then glazed.
- Three different glazes are available.
- The ceramics can be picked up after approx. 3 - 6 weeks.
- Collection of finished pieces or shipping at an additional cost.
