Class description

Wood is a high-quality material and deserves a second life. In my upcycling workshop, old Berlin floorboards become a seat and, together with 3 logs, this results in a three-legged stool. We process the wood surface with a gas burner, the Japanese 'yakisugi' fire technology, which turns even worn out boards into a new material. Real upcycling!

What is the process of my upcycling workshop in Berlin?

In this creative workshop, you will learn the basic woodworking skills and how to use the burner when flaming wood. There is a lot of work outside and the romantic area of the BLO studios is ideal for this. The old railway site in Berlin-Lichtenberg has been a green art and cultural oasis for 20 years and is home to around 90 creative people. Be inspired by this unique community.

Who is the upcycling workshop in Berlin suitable for?

The course is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced woodmakers. A bit of manual skill isn't absolutely necessary, but it's helpful.
