About this class
In this 3-day pottery course in Friedrichstadt, you will learn how to make pottery without a turntable and implement your own creative ideas.
Techniques: thumb pressure, plate and bead technology and decorative surface treatment, foot ring design. A flat, moist clay plate can be curved or bent into a tube. These shapes can vary and produce an aesthetically satisfactory result.
Course content: Tips for preparing simple composition sketches. The selection of the right tool as an important criterion for good design, craftsmanship and practice in the professional production of clay plates and their processing properties when conditioning, arching, assembling, embossing, scribbling, drying and using engobes.
