About this class
In this special ceramics course in Leipzig, the focus is on the surface.
We combine plate technology with floral design and work directly with real plants, leaves and flowers.
The careful incorporation of natural forms creates fine structures, delicate reliefs and vivid traces in the clay. Each plant leaves its own imprint — sometimes delicate, sometimes powerful. This gives your ceramic depth, character and a completely natural aesthetic.
What you’ll do in the class
You roll out clay, cut your clay plates and gently press your plants, leaves and flowers into the clay. The result is fine structures, delicate reliefs and vivid traces — each plant leaves its own imprint. With my support, you will then shape your individual workpiece. After the scrub firing, I do the coloring of the structures, the transparent glazing and the glaze firing. About four weeks later, you pick up your favorite finished ceramic from my workshop in Leipzig.
Who is the class suitable for?
A course for anyone who likes to work with their hands, look closely and enjoy floral traces in the material.
The course is ideal for beginners and advanced learners. Children aged 12 and over are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult.
