Dive into the fascinating world of abstract painting and create your own work of art for home or as a gift. In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn a simple yet effective technique to create expressive designs.
What you’ll do in the class
We start by priming the surface with acrylic paint in your favorite color (s). While the paint dries, we design your geometric figure together. Whether it's triangles, squares or free shapes — let your creativity run wild! In the next step, we glue the tape to the dried primer in the desired shape. This creates clear lines and delimited areas for your unique design. Now comes the meditative part: With snub brushes, we dab the individual areas with paint. Choose your favorite colors and create a harmonious or contrasting play of colors. The polka dot technique creates exciting color gradients and a special texture. If you like, you can now add accents or structures with wax crayons. In the end, you hold your self-designed work of art in your hands. Whether abstract, minimalistic, or colorful, you'll be surprised how easy it is to achieve impressive results with this technique.
