Class description

We'll learn to turn the powder Konjac root into a paste and treat multiple pieces of natural and printed Japanese paper with it. Using a wrinkling technique, known as Momi, we'll work the paper into sheets that drape and can be sewn.

We will learn why Japanese Washi paper is ideally used with this treatment and everyone will go home the papers they treated and a small sample of Konnyaku to continue their experiments.
