About this class
Oriental cuisine enchants the senses and takes our taste buds into completely new spheres!
The dishes are characterized by their intense, hearty and delicate aromas and the use of all kinds of different vegetables, seasoned with lots of fresh herbs, pepper, paprika, garlic and olive oil.
What do we learn in your cooking classes?
- Unusual flavor combinations are created by using cinnamon, coriander, cardamom, rose peppers, and other special spices
- Aubergines are the sultan of vegetables, and fresh peppers, lots of parsley and yoghurt can be used to create delicious dishes that inspire our everyday meals!
- Lentils, chickpeas and bulgur form another basis; the tasty preparation of chicken expands the menu
- Be surprised and inspired by new ingredients and variations!
Sample menu:
- delicious mezze as an appetizer plate with hummus (chickpeas), muhammara (paprika), baba ganoush (eggplant), sheep cheese cream, spinach salad with pomegranate
- Chicken breast filled with dates in fruity apricot sauce
- Oven-braised stuffed eggplants
- Bulgur lentil pilaf with ras el hanout
- Figs filled with walnuts in clove syrup
- Fresh mint tea or oriental coffee
What you’ll do in the class
We start with a delicious aperitif and discuss the basics of the course.
I focus in particular on the combination and use of a wide variety of spices.
Then we briefly go through all the recipes and can address special features such as incompatibilities/allergies or the like one last time, and plan how we will take them into account. You can then divide yourself into groups and spread out to the prepared work tables and shopping carts.
We always cook a lot of dishes that you can make yourself, of course with a little help and guidance from me... But everyone always gets everything, as I always put everyone together for the most important things.
We cook in two rounds: After the first round, we eat the starter, then we finish the remaining dishes and then eat them together as a buffet.
The whole thing is of course accompanied by relaxed music and delicious drinks.
